Many business operations include transporting and lifting, to some extent. Heavy-duty trucks and the like can take care of bringing goods from one location to another; meanwhile, machines such as cranes handle lifting or stacking certain materials on certain job sites.

What if you need that sort of work done in just a single location - for example, moving pallets of materials from one end of a compound to another? If so, you’ll want something smaller, such as a 2.5 ton diesel forklift. Such vehicles are widely used for loading and unloading goods for transport as well as moving packaged goods and bulk materials around construction sites, ports, factories, and the like.

We can help you purchase either a new or used 2.5 ton diesel forklift, and as a global dealer, we have several brands available. Some of the more noteworthy ones include:

Enforcer

An Enforcer 2.5 ton diesel forklift doesn’t have the biggest capacity, nor does it have the lowest capacity in this manufacturer’s line of diesel forklifts, but it’s still up to many tasks, especially given its side shift capability.

As far as operating costs go, diesel forklifts already have a comparatively low operating cost. Enforcer’s lift trucks, however, combine Japanese engine technology and hydraulic solutions to lower that even more while still performing remarkably, so they’re definitely worth considering.

Hyster

Hyster offers a full line of lift trucks, from stand-up and sit-down models to container handlers.

A well-known brand in the material handling equipment industry, Hyster has made a name for itself thanks to their tough, durable forklifts that don’t compromise on the operator’s safety. Their overhead guards are meant to strengthen the carriage while providing a better field of vision and protecting the operator at the same time.

You can be sure that you can find a Hyster 2.5 ton diesel forklift for sale that is up to whatever task you ask of it.

Toyota

This is another manufacturer that’s quite well-known when it comes to material handling equipment. A study looked at the most important features when purchasing a forklift, many ranked Toyota at the top, citing durability and value among the deciding factors. This means that you can rest assured when purchasing a second hand 2.5 ton diesel forklift by this manufacturer since they’re so reliable and durable.

These aren’t the only three brands we offer, of course. We have other brands available, including:

  1. Mast Explorer
  2. UniCarrier (formerly Nissan)
  3. Yale
  4. AUSA
  5. Mitsubishi
  6. Manitou
  7. Sumitomo
  8. TCM
  9. Komatsu

Whatever brand of forklift you’re looking for, there’s a good chance we’ll have one available. Just let our sales professionals know what brand you’d prefer and we’ll help you find it.

Types of Diesel Forklifts

If this is the first time you’ve searched for a 2.5 ton diesel forklift for sale, you may have noticed that some forklifts are labelled differently, or else you’re just wondering if there are different types of forklift, besides having different fuel sources. In fact, there are!

A 2.5 ton telehandler is a type of forklift that has different attachments meant to lift, move, and place materials, ranging from gravel to lumber. The name is short for “telescopic handler”, and because of aforementioned attachments, it may not always resemble the forklifts you’re more familiar with.

A telehandler is a great purchase if you need a cost-effective material handling solution, since it combines great lift capacity with both forward reach and height, all thanks to the various attachments it can work with.

Then there’s the 2.5 ton counterbalance forklift, which often looks quite compact when compared to a telehandler. Where the latter’s attachments are found at the back of the truck, the former has two forks at the front, allowing the operator to drive right up to a load and lift it. This can be done without worrying that the truck will tip over thanks to a counter weight at the rear of the truck.

There’s also the 2.5 ton rough terrain forklift, which, as the name implies, is built to move material over hilly, unstable, and even rocky ground. The tires are the most obviously different feature, since they’re bigger, thicker, and often have more noticeable grooves to provide better friction and handling.

Warranties

Any 2.5 tonne diesel forklift we sell comes with a warranty of some kind. For Enforcer forklifts, for instance, a new 2.5 ton diesel forklift comes with a 5-year warranty, while a new UniCarrier will have a 3-year warranty. Given that, remember to ask our personnel to clarify whether or not a model comes with a warranty, and for how long.

Whether you’re in the market for a new or a second hand 2.5 ton diesel forklift, you won’t be disappointed with our selection, and you can rest assured our forklift prices are reasonable. And if you’re looking for a way to get your newly purchased forklift to your location, we will gladly deliver it for you since we service all of Australia, including regional areas.
